Duminda Jayasinghe is a distinguished Information Technology educator who has left an indelible mark on Sri Lanka's educational landscape through his dedication to academic excellence and innovative teaching methods. Mr. Jayasinghe laid the foundation for his career with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the prestigious University of Moratuwa. Building upon this strong academic foundation, he embarked on his teaching journey in 1996, joining the Vocational Training sector where he would serve with distinction for 17 years.
His commitment to excellence reached a significant milestone in 2012 when he was recognized as one of Sri Lanka's outstanding ICT lecturers. This achievement led to his selection for a specialized training program at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, where he enhanced his expertise in modern educational methodologies and technological innovation.
Following his international training, Mr. Jayasinghe brought his expertise to one of the leading Buddhist Colleges in the Kandy district. His innovative teaching approaches and dedication to student success quickly made an impact, culminating in his nomination as the Best ICT Teacher by the Kandy Zonal Education authority. This recognition was particularly noteworthy as it was based on his students' exceptional performance in Ordinary Level examinations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jayasinghe has demonstrated an exceptional ability to bridge the gap between traditional educational values and modern technological advancement. His teaching methodology has consistently produced outstanding results, setting new standards for ICT education in Sri Lanka's school system.
